What’s your favorite thing about working with dogs?
I love the (nonverbal) communication between a dog and their groomer. When the chemistry is good between the two, the dog leaves that experience with the most therapeutic, healthy, and beautiful result.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I have been caring for animals for almost 20 years which has been the most rewarding aspect of my life but now as I have transitioned into my new role, I love developing that love and career path for new talent.
How many years of experience do you have working with dogs (and how many of those are at Barkefellers)?
I have been a dog groomer since 2004 and with Barkefellers since 2015.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
Settling into my new role of developing groomers. I also an anxious to create, unite and build upon the already existing great teams at all Barkefellers locations.
Do you have any pets of your own?
Yes, 2 Chihuahuas.
What hobbies do you have outside of work?
When I’m not in a grooming salon, I am the biggest fan at my kids soccer games. I have also been learning about species identification of trees in Indiana. If I ever left the salon to work, I would be working around trees.
What do you listen to while in your car?
CCR, Red hot chili peppers, but truly I am a big Beastie Boys Fan.
