What’s your favorite thing about working with dogs?
Getting to know their personalities. Some come in and act like they are your best friend even though they just met you. Others take a bit longer to gain their trust, but quickly learn that this is a good place and everyone here loves them.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Greeting the dogs as they come in the building. They are so excited to play with their friends.
many years of experience do you have working with dogs (and how many of those are at Barkefellers)?
My experience was primarily with my dogs as a child and early teen. My wife is allergic to dog dander and so we had cats when the kids were growing up. It wasn’t until my daughter moved back with us about 4 years ago she brought my grandpuppy Meena(7 yr old German Shepherd) with her. They live with us now in Columbus.
What are you most looking forward to this year?
Getting the shade sails installed so the dogs can stay outside longer and getting the pools out.
Do you have any pets of your own?
We have Kumquat the Calico cat and Meena the German Shepherd
What hobbies do you have outside of work?
I like to fish and some hunting
What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
Watching the business grow and hopefully building another one in Bloomington in 5-6 years.

I enjoy music and talk radio
