Where did you grow up?
I grew up in here in Avon, Indiana.
Where did you go to school?
I went to Avon Schools until my junior year, and then I went to the Indiana Academy for Math Science and Humanities on Ball State campus. I also attended Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu.
What’s your favorite thing about working with dogs?
My favorite part about working with dogs is that I’m constantly learning how to be a better dog mom myself! My dogs are my life and working here has definitely helped me learn more about my pups behavior and strengthen our relationship.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Getting to know the dogs is a lot of fun, but my favorite part is actually getting to know the owners and building relationships with them! It makes me so happy to see our regulars and hearing about how they are doing. After all, they’re the amazing people who are raising our favorite pups!
How many years of experience do you have working with dogs (and how many of those are at Barkefellers)?
Animals have been a part of my life for long as I can remember. I started really working with animals when I turned 16, but last March marked my 1 year at Barkefellers!
What are you most looking forward to this year?
I’m very excited to have my relatives from Australia come and visit for Christmas this year!
Do you have any pets of your own?
I have two Pitties of my own named Birdie and Fayetta, and a Pomeranian puppy named Possum! In our home, my sister’s Pomeranians named Pippa and Arlo also live with us. In addition to the dogs, I have a Russian Tortoise named Doris and a Bearded Dragon named Daisuke. Our animals are truly members of our family!
What hobbies do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time working with and training my dogs. We love to frequent our local pet friendly stores, such as Barnes & Nobles and Half Price Books. If you ever see us, feel free to say hi!
What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
Something I have always wanted to do in my life is to foster! Whether it be dogs or humans, I would love for my home to be a safe place for those in need.

I love to listen to true crime podcasts!
