2 Weeks of classes M-F

At Barkefellers, we believe all dogs should have the chance to learn good manners! Dog training makes life at home happier for dogs and their families – and makes dogs more welcome when out and about in the neighborhood and community. We also believe that dogs should always be treated fairly and humanely. Forget about old-fashioned, boot camp-style dog training programs that use questionable methods and include little (if any) instruction for you! Our approach to training begins with an understanding that training should enhance and strengthen the relationship between a person and their dog using basic manners. Our professional trainers practice canine communication, including body postures and signals to ensure your dog has a safe and enjoyable experience. Our training courses employ positive reinforcement techniques to elicit and reward desired behaviors. Classes incorporate off-leash work, dealing with distractions, and more advanced handling. Daily, you will know exactly what we are doing, how we are doing it and what your dog needs to work on. Upon course completion we will celebrate – you’ll receive their certificate while graduates pose for a photo.

Training rules

  • Training is available by reservation and appointment only.
  • Each additional dog receives 20% off when signed up together.
  • Payment for our training programs is required in full upon registration.
  • Cancellation is required 2 weeks prior to the program start date due to limited availability.
  • Proof of current vaccinations is required for all classmates
  • Classmates must pass temperament evaluation prior to joining training session.
  • Day School drop-off by 9 am and pick-up after 4 pm.
  • Must schedule transition time.
  • Classmates over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered to attend school.
  • Level One required for Level Two training at Day School.

Check-in at Barkefellers®

Register at the front desk. A concierge will introduce the resort. Belongings are taken to guest’s room and pet settles into their surroundings.
